(TPS) Throttle Position Sensor
Location:
The TPS is located within or on the side of the throttle body or carburetor
What It Does:
The Throttle Position Sensor identifies the position of the throttle plate to the
engine computer. The signal voltage will be approximately 0.2-1.0 volt at idle and up to 4.6
volts at wide open throttle.
Failure Symptoms: Malfunction Indicator Light illumination, failed emission test
engine hesitation on light acceleration, engine hesitation during a cruise, automatic
transmission shifting condition.

Ubicación:
El TPS está ubicado dentro o al costado del cuerpo del acelerador o carburador.
Que hace:
El sensor de posición del acelerador identifica la posición de la placa del acelerador
computadora del motor. El voltaje de la señal será de aproximadamente 0.2-1.0 voltios en inactivo y hasta 4.6
voltios al acelerador completamente abierto.
Síntomas de falla: indicador de mal funcionamiento Iluminación de la luz, prueba de emisión fallida
vacilación del motor en aceleración ligera, vacilación del motor durante un crucero, automático
condición de cambio de transmisión.
