What It Does: The Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor is an emission control device used in the
EVAP system to monitor the difference between ambient air pressure and the pressure or
vacuum within the fuel tank.
Location: The Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor may be locate on the fuel tank, as part of the Fuel
Tank Module, or near the fuel tank as part of an EVAP vapor line
Failure Symptoms: Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) illumination, failed emission test
