Yaw Rate Sensor
What It Does: The yaw rate sensor is part of the stability control system which works in
conjunction with the anti-lock brake system. The sensor measures the lateral movement of
the vehicle, should the vehicle begin to move in a sideways direction, the anti-lock brake
system will operate the brake system in a manner which may avoid a loss of vehicle control.
Failure Symptoms: Anti-lock brake light illumination, vehicle stability control light
illumination, cruise control system may be disabled
